One problem of most webmasters having is how to drive targeted visitors to your site, blog etc as I always see this questions poped up in various internet marketing forums.

Well honestly there are few ways that you can do that, for example, you can use manual traffic exchanges, send couple of emails to your subscribers base, create a video and upload to various of video sharing sites like you tube, writing articles and submit them to various article directories, blog network and so on and so forth.

To me some of the methods listed are above like article marketing, manual traffic exchanges, are quite time consuming and boring. Today, I would like to recommend a method that is so effective to give you traffic and leads and yet you probably need to spend an hour or two in a day. So what is the method? It’s Twitter.

What is Twitter?

Twitter is a mcro-blogging tool that allows user to share their thoughts in 140 characters. So how do you use twitter to create a subscriber base?

To create a subscriber base is very easy. What you have to do is just follow some leading characters on your niche. For example in the niche of internet marketing or make money online, the big names are Mike Filsainme, John Resse, Russell Brunson and just to name a few. So you basically need to create a profile with your information and websites stick on it and start following them. Once you pick up twenty leading people in your niche and follow them, your profile will be shown in the first page in their followers list. And people follow that leading role person, they will tend to follow the other people in the leading role person’s followers list as well. I use this simple techniques that outline in the twitter online system and tripled my subscribers base from 400 to 1300 in only 6 days with only 1-2 hours work per day! That’s not bad at all right?

Now, how to you increase the subscriber base? Well basically you use a twitter function “@follower” and your message to entice your follower to be your email subscriber. That’s pretty easy. Just like how you encourage your website visitor to be your subscriber using various tools like SEO, adwords, facebook, myspace, youtube article writing etc.

I’d advice that for every article directory you go to, read the rules that govern article submission before actually proceeding with submitting the article, that way you have a high chance of getting the article directory to accept the article.

By submitting to a whole lot of directories, you would finally get used to submission of articles, there are chances that your article might get rejected, in those kind of scenarios, go again and review the particular article directory’s guidelines, see if you missed out something, correct any discovered error and then re-submit. I always advice people, your articles should be between 400-600 words and the content should be one that captures the reader’s attention and contain valuable information, be it a product review or website review articles, make the article content be so intriguing, so as to make the reader look for more related articles on that subject, maybe from the writer of the article itself, I have had people emailing me about tips on certain articles topics I have written.

Also, article title and keywords, for the article title, don’t be so “boring”, there are lots of articles out there, the question is why should anyone click on yours? The article title is what differentiates you from the rest of the others, whatever you title you use for your article has to contain text that would make the user click on your article when given like 10 different article options.

Keywords are what individuals’ type when they looking for an article for a topic, your articles should have these keywords and also some article directories have a certain area where you could type in the keywords related to the article, make sure these keywords are relevant to the article.

An article summary is also necessary, it describes what the articles is about in just a few sentences and also the author’s resource box, information about you would be put in there, usually and also generally I always tell people not to over hype themselves in the resource box area, just put a simple summary about yourself and that is that!!!!. Your resource box should have your name and website link.

Along the way, you’re sure to land on a particular goldmine that has been overlooked by your competitors because they were so much focused on building up their keyword or key phrase lists.
